FANNIE MYRON (1957– )

HOPI POLYCHROME SEED JAR circa 1995

Fannie Myron is Tom Polacca's daughter, Fannie Nampeyo's granddaughter and Nampeyo's great granddaughter, and, as this piece shows, an excellent potter in her own right. She signed it with her maiden name, FANNIE L. POLACCA, followed by 'NAMPEYO." This might be a touch disingenuous on her part, capitalizing on the reputation of her far more famous (and far pricier) grandmother Fannie, who occasionally signed piedes "Fannie Polacca" (her married name) in similar printing.

5-1/4" diameter x 2-3/4" high
