EUSEBIA SHIJE (circa 1930– )
ZIA POLYCHROME JAR circa 1985
It always makes us happy when we can add another major potter to our offerings. Eusebia Shije's pottery began winning awards and appearing in major publications in the mid-1970s and the awards kept coming through the 1990s. They included two conseutive Richard M. Howard awards vor the best traditional Zia pottery at Indian Market. This jar came from a collection gathered when Eusebia was at the peak of her skills. It pleases us to be able to offer it at such a reasonable price, thanks to a lucky buy on our part.
